Lack of attendance at classes and open houses the past few months has suggested to me that we are not reaching our members' education needs.  This could be a failure to have classes at a mutually agreeable time, or a lack of offerings meeting people's needs.  As I have said before, getting instructors to come forward has been difficult.

At the general meeting on April 2nd, I asked two questions:
(1) how many people are satisfied with having classes set up within the times and dates that are available per the reference list on this section of the club website? 
(2) how many people would rather schedule one-on-one classes at mutually agreeable times with the appropriate instructor, similar to first level support sessions?

Four times as many people opted for option (2) over option (1).

Therefore, for all classes that I teach (listed below) and open houses, I am not scheduling fixed times.  Please call or e-mail me with a request for a time, and we will set something up (458-2544 or eggumbob@chartertn.net).
Basic Excel (3 sessions, but open to adjustment based on needs)
Investment Tracking Using Excel (one session)
How Your Computer Works (a show and tell on the internal parts - one or two sessions)
Open houses (individual problems and questions)
Basic Word (fundamentals only; for advanced Word call Karen Brown)

Joe Solymossy will repeat his novice class (5 sessions) soon (dates and times TBD).

Jim Peterson will repeat a one session class on Windows 8 (date and time TBD). 

 Monthly reference times available for TVCUC use of Room D at Chota Rec Center:
Mondays (all except the third Monday of the month): 9 AM to noon (scanner training may be done here--Ken Wood to schedule)
Mondays (2nd): 1 to 5 PM
Mondays (4th): 3 to 5 PM (MAC users SIG-Jan, Feb, Mar, Apr, May, Sep, Oct only)
Tuesdays (2nd, 3rd and 4th of each month): 3 to 5 PM (2nd is TVCUC board meeting)
Tuesday evenings (2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th of each month): 6:30 to 8:30 PM
Wednesdays (2nd and 3rd each month): noon to 3 PM
Thursdays (2nd of each month): 3 to 5 PM (for Photo SIG)
Fridays (1st and 3rd each month): 9 AM to noon
