The Mac Users Group is a Special Interest Group (SIG) formed several years ago under the leadership of Jan Miller.  It merged with the TVCUC and is an active self-directed group under the present leadership of Karen Brown.  It meets on the fourth Monday of the month during January, February, March, April, September, and October, 3 p.m., at the Chota Rec Center.

The group discusses and demonstrates programs related to the Apple environment, primarily Mac computers.  Because Apple has expanded its product base from computers to iPods, iPhones, and iPads, the group also attempts to bring its members up to speed on the increasing number of applications on these devices.

Also available are a network of Mac users to help people new to the product line.  The group depends on members who have become proficient in various areas to share their expertise, both to the membership in meetings and individuals on a one-to-one basis.  Monthly email messages contain tips and tricks for enhancing members’ experience with Apple products.

As with First Level Support available to club members in the PC world, the Mac Users Group also is there to help those who have the “other” computer.
