Call the FLS Hotline at (865) 408-8223.
We'll respond to your request within 24 hours — typically within just few hours.
TIP for Faster Support: We get it! You have your phone set to "Silence Unknown Callers" so you're not bothered with all the spam calls. But if you're expecting a call from FLS after you submitted a support request, please temporarily turn that feature off so you can receive our return call. Not answering will delay a call to resolve your issue.
The pandemic years were tough on everyone, but something good came out of them for our FLS Team – we had to find new ways to provide support to our members because making house calls was out of the question. The pandemic is long over, but our our FLS team continues to assist members using remote control software when possible because it's faster, easier, and more comfortable for both our club members and technical support team. They are still willing to make house calls, providing both they and the member are comfortable doing so. Currently about 60% of our support calls are in-person.
FLS is a team of volunteer members of the Tellico Village Computer Users Club (TVCUC) willing to share their time and knowledge assisting other members with the use and enjoyment of their computers and devices. FLS provides this service to our TVCUC members on a first come, first served basis.
For Windows remote support calls, we use Microsoft Quick Assist, a remote control solution that is part of the Windows operating system that is easy for you to use, and requires no additional software to be installed on your PC. When providing support, one of our FLS experts will help you configure Quick Assist.
For Mac remote support calls, we use the Apple Screen Sharing app, which is built into macOS, and requires no additional software to be installed on your computer. This remote control solution is very easy to set up and use, and if one of our technicians has asked you to configure it, follow these instructions for doing so.
If your problem can't be resolved over the phone or via remote support, the technician who calls you will arrange a time to come to your home.
Do you have a working knowledge of computers, especially Windows 11? The Tellico Village Computer Club (TVCUC is seeking volunteers to join our First Level Support (FLS) Team and assist individuals who need a helping hand with technology, which is a great way to share your skills. If you enjoy using computers, are technology-savvy and share a passion for helping others, we’ll equip you with the tools and guidance to make a meaningful impact. While types of software are personal preferences, there are some applications and solutions you really need to install on a Windows PC and a Mac. The TVCUC FLS and TAP groups have carefully evaluated several necessary options and we highly recommend them to you. In fact, these are the same applications and solutions we personally use on our own computers.
