Get a behind-the-scenes tour of the Proton Therapy Center, including a complete walk through of a patient experience, and up-close viewing of the massive equipment that makes proton therapy work. We will review the history of proton therapy that dates back to 1903 and learn how proton therapy works.
The Proton Therapy Center tour lasts about one and a half hours.
There are some restrictions in one section of the tour that requires those individuals with pacemakers or someone that may be pregnant to be restricted from entering the cyclotron vault. They can view pictures of the cyclotron, but they may not enter the actual vault where the equipment is active. Also, no open-toed shoes are allowed.
